5Kind Bee Venom Collection Process & Bee Welfare

At 5Kind, we prioritise the health of our bees. Our bee venom, sourced ethically in Europe, is collected using a safe, non-harmful method.
How is the bee venom in the cream collected?
We use a safe and non-harmful method to collect bee venom. A glass plate with a gentle electrical current is placed near the hive. This encourages the bees to sting the glass, releasing a small amount of venom. The glass is smooth, so their stingers don’t get stuck—and the bees are not harmed or killed in the process. Collections happen every two weeks to allow for recovery and are done exclusively at night to avoid disrupting their daily work.
Once the venom dries, it’s carefully collected and purified for use in our cream.
How do 5Kind Verify the Quality of your Bee Venom with the Fake Bee Venom on the Market?
We only partner with trusted beekeepers in Europe and each batch is certified and HPLC analysed.
Note: Be careful, most bee venom products on the market do not contain any bee venom at all. Because collecting the bee venom is laborious and expensive.
Are the bees harmed when collecting the venom?
Not at all. The process is designed to be completely non-lethal and stress-free. The bees keep their stingers and return to their normal activity shortly after. We partner only with trusted beekeepers who follow ethical and sustainable practices.
Is it Sustainable to Extract Bee Venom?
Yes! Additionally, we are currently searching for the Best Organisation we can donate to in order to provide funds to help the population of Honey Bees through increasing habitat size. Please get in touch for partnerships so we can further support the bee community at: support@5kind.co.uk
